Kenya has won the bid to host the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations together with Tanzania and Uganda, the Confederation of African Football announced Wednesday.
The 2025 tournament will be hosted by Morocco, CAF said.
The 2027 event will mark the first time Kenya has hosted the continental championship. The East African nation was selected over a joint bid from Senegal, Egypt and Botswana.

Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania jointly bid in May. President William Ruto then said this was part of his administration’s broader plan to harness the country’s full potential in sports for prosperity.
Kenya is currently working on refurbishing Nyayo and Kasarani stadiums with a new Talanta Stadium in the pipeline in preparation for the tournament.
Morocco won the rights to the 2025 African Cup in a contest against Zambia and a joint Nigeria-Benin bid. Algeria withdrew on the eve of the announcement.
