The High Court has further postponed the pronouncement of judgment in the legal proceedings involving Joseph Irungu, also known as Jowie, and former television star Jacque Maribe.

Both individuals are facing charges related to the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani. Justice Grace Nzioka announced on Friday that the verdict will now be delivered on March 15, 2023.

During the court session, the primary accused, Joseph Irungu alias Jowie, was present for the judgment delivery. However, the second accused, journalist Jacque Maribe, was reportedly unwell, and the court was informed that she was enroute to the hospital.

“There’s no provision for virtual today and if you tell me you’re unwell, I don’t know where you are. The integrity of the court proceedings must be observed. I would rather have an open court appearance,” court said.

She further urged the accused parties to be available on March 15,  and it is stated that adequate time will be needed for the delivery of the judgment.
