PSC denies appointing Jacque Maribe to government communication role

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has refuted claims that former Royal Media journalist Jacque Maribe has been appointed as the Head of Communication in the Ministry of Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management. This comes after social media posts attributed the appointment to Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria.

In a press release, PSC chairperson Amb. Anthony Muchiri categorically stated, “For the record, the said position will be filled through a competitive recruitment process should a vacancy arise.” He clarified that no such appointment has been made, nor has a request to employ Maribe been received by the board.

The PSC’s statement directly contradicts remarks attributed to Kuria, who was quoted as saying, “It is true except that I am not the one who appointed her but the Public Service Commission.”

The alleged appointment of the former media personality to the government communication role sparked widespread speculation and discussions on social media platforms.
