An extraordinary road trip from Nairobi to Mombasa has captured the attention of social media users after content creator Parmarcore opted for an unconventional mode of transport—a bodaboda.

Instead of taking a bus, train, or flight, Parmarcore booked the app-based motorcycle ride and paid rider Job Njoroge KSh17,200, including an additional fee to compensate for the unusual long-distance journey.

Videos shared online documented the adventure from start to finish, showing the content creator enjoying the ride and expressing excitement throughout the trip. At several points during the journey, Parmarcore described the experience as one of the most memorable road trips, embracing the thrill of travelling across the country on a motorcycle.

The unusual trip quickly went viral, with many Kenyans flocking to social media platforms to share their reactions. While some were amused by the unconventional choice of transport, others applauded both the rider and passenger for turning an ordinary ride into a unique adventure.

Many users also praised Job Njoroge, describing the trip as an innovative way to earn additional income. Some noted that the fare represented a lucrative side hustle for a rider willing to take on such a demanding journey.

However, the viral story also sparked curiosity. One of the most common questions online was how the rider planned to return to Nairobi after completing the trip. Others wondered about the logistics involved, including fuel costs, rider fatigue, and whether the earnings would outweigh the expenses associated with such a long-distance ride.

Beyond the humour, the story highlighted the growing role of digital ride-hailing platforms in creating flexible income opportunities. It also demonstrated how creative content and unconventional experiences continue to resonate with audiences on social media, where unique stories often attract widespread engagement.

Whether viewed as a daring adventure or an inventive business opportunity, the Nairobi-to-Mombasa bodaboda journey has become one of the internet’s most talked-about travel stories, leaving many Kenyans entertained and impressed by the pair’s bold decision.
