Eldoret erupts in night protests against 2024 Finance Bill

Residents of Eldoret held protests against the proposed 2024 finance bill at night, a move that has caught the attention of several Kenyans who took to their different social media platforms to speak on this.

Several sources have confirmed that this happened at the same time when interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki stated that police are going to be present.

The youth have begun gathering in various areas and have planned to protest in various groups. Riot police have taken positions in Eldoret where youth have begun gathering for the Finance Bill protests. Hundreds of police officers have been deployed on the streets ahead of the demos

The Uasin Gishu county government headquarters is among the key installations where security has been beefed up.
