Cytonn Asset Managers Limited (CAML) has reported a significant upturn in its financial performance for the year ending 31st December 2024, with the Cytonn Money Market Fund (CMMF) delivering a 250% growth in profitability. The fund’s profit surged to KES 94.9 million, up from KES 27.0 million in 2023, as a result of improved macroeconomic conditions and strategic investment decisions.

The strong financial performance was driven by an increase in assets under management (AUM), which more than doubled from KES 492.8 million in 2023 to KES 1.1 billion in 2024, marking a 130% rise. Higher interest rates, alongside easing inflationary pressures, created an environment conducive to higher returns, enabling the fund to offer competitive yields of up to 16% per annum to its investors.

The robust growth was underpinned by a well-diversified investment strategy, allowing Cytonn Asset Managers to navigate market volatilities effectively. Additionally, the seamless accessibility of the fund through The Cytonn App has enhanced investor participation, allowing users to invest, withdraw, and pay bills in real-time, ensuring continuous liquidity and convenience.

The financial results also included reports on other funds managed by Cytonn, including the Cytonn High Yield Fund, Cytonn Equity Fund, Cytonn Balanced Fund, and the Cytonn Money Market Fund-USD. The success of CMMF highlights growing investor confidence in Cytonn’s asset management capabilities and signals an optimistic outlook for the firm’s future performance.
