The Public service commission has shortlisted 10 persons to fill the position of the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK).

According to the CBK Act, the governor of CBK should be deputized by 2 persons appointed by the president after the approval of parliament.

Dr. Patrick Njoroge has been working with one deputy, Sheila M’Mbijiwe, in contravention of the Act, after CBK’s board failed to renew the contract of Sheila’s counterpart Haron Sirma in 2015.
