France booked their place in the FIFA World Cup semi-finals after defeating Morocco 2-0 in an entertaining knockout clash that showcased the quality and determination of both sides. The victory keeps Les Bleus on course for another World Cup title, while Morocco bowed out with heads held high after another impressive tournament performance.

After a tightly contested first half, France broke the deadlock in the 60th minute through Kylian Mbappé, whose clinical finish gave the defending champions the advantage. Just six minutes later, Ousmane Dembélé doubled France’s lead in the 66th minute, putting the match beyond Morocco’s reach despite the North Africans’ relentless attacking efforts.

Morocco continued to push forward and created several promising opportunities but were unable to find a breakthrough against France’s disciplined defense. The Atlas Lions once again demonstrated the resilience and tactical organization that made them one of the standout teams of the tournament, earning respect from fans around the world.

The result sends France into the semi-finals, where they remain among the favourites to lift the trophy. Their blend of experienced stars and emerging talent has continued to shine in crucial matches, with Mbappé once again proving decisive on the biggest stage.
