Sean Paul to headline Nairobi concert after 20 years

Dancehall superstar Sean Paul is set to return to Kenya after a two-decade hiatus, headlining a highly anticipated concert on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at the Waterfront 2 Gardens, Nairobi Jockey Club. This announcement was made by Who Said Events & Win Group Agency, generating excitement among fans eager to experience the Grammy-winning artist’s electrifying performances.

Sean Paul, renowned for chart-topping hits like “Get Busy,” “Temperature,” and “Give Me the Light,” promises an unforgettable night filled with reggae and dancehall vibes. “Get Ready, Nairobi! The wait is over! We’re excited to announce the one and only Sean Paul is coming to Nairobi!” the concert organizers stated. “Join us for an unforgettable night filled with the hottest reggae and dancehall vibes! Get ready to sing along to all his hits and dance the night away!”

The concert will showcase a diverse lineup, featuring both international and local talent. Kenyan artists set to perform include Redsan, Motif Di Don (Arbantone set), DJ Grauchi, G-Money, Kym Nickdee, DJ Moh Spice, Mish, CNG, and ZJ Heno. The event will be hosted by popular emcees DNG and BV Accurate, promising a night of excitement and entertainment.

Tickets for the concert went on sale recently, with early bird tickets priced at KES. 3000 selling out within hours, reflecting the high demand for the event. Early Bird VIP tickets are available for KES. 7500, allowing fans to secure a premium experience.

Sean Paul last performed in Kenya in 2004, an event that became memorable due to an unexpected incident. During his stay, he lost his mobile phone, which he later clarified was not stolen but misplaced. “I misplaced it when I was in a hotel, and I was asking everybody, ‘Where, where, where?’ But big up to Kenya still, much love,” he recalled in a 2021 interview. With the excitement building for his return, fans are looking forward to an unforgettable evening celebrating the rhythm and energy of Sean Paul’s music.
