Nairobi International Trade Fair Back After 2-Year Hiatus

Nairobi International Trade Fair Is Back

Kenyans have been urged to attend the Nairobi International Trade Fair, which opened on Monday, September 26, 2022, until Sunday, October 2, 2022, at Jamuhuri grounds following a two-year hiatus brought on by the Covid-19 epidemic. This year’s theme is “Promoting Innovation and Technology in Agriculture and Trade”.

President William Ruto is anticipated to give the event’s opening remarks On Wednesday, September 28, 2022, while Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja will do so on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, whereas Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua will close on October 2, 2022.

Noor Gabow, assistant inspector general of the National Police Service (NPS), has urged people to stop by the NPS booth in case of any inquiries.

The Agricultural Society Of Kenya stated that the Popular trade fair has attracted over 200 confirmed local and international exhibitors with foreign exhibitors from China, Tanzania, Botswana, India, Iran, and Pakistan in attendance. The exhibitors come from a variety of interdisciplinary fields, including small and medium-sized businesses, manufacturing, housing, banking, the public and private sector, hospitality, education, and technology.

Nairobi Johnson Sakaja stated that commerce and agriculture are essential components of Kenya’s economic strategy, particularly in Nairobi, which serves as a hub for fostering two-way trade between Kenyans and other like-minded trading partners across the world.

“It is about time that Nairobi reclaimed its position in the region as the preferred destination for our international trading partners,” Sakaja said in a statement. Sakaja and his deputy Njoroge Muchiri are the official patrons of the trade fair.
