Safaricom, has secured a position among Forbes magazine’s top 200 global employers. Its recognition stems from its positive societal, environmental, and economic contributions. With the company ranking 164 out of 700 multinational firms from 43 nations in Forbes’ annual list of the World’s Best Employers.

Listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange, Safaricom boasts regional dominance as the most profitable firm, reporting a net profit of KES 34.2 billion in the six months to September with a staff of 5,500.

The company’s commitment extends beyond financial success, with investments in social and environmental initiatives such as affordable internet access, support for education and health projects, and promotion of renewable energy sources.

Safaricom recently expanded its footprint to Ethiopia, where the company obtained a license to provide mobile services, adding 675 jobs, particularly in its Ethiopia subsidiary.
