Kenya Television Network (KTN), a household name in Kenyan broadcasting since 1990, has announced a major restructuring by merging its flagship channels, KTN Home and KTN News, into a single unified brand. The new entity, branded simply as KTN, aims to blend the best of family entertainment and trusted journalism under one umbrella, promising a more cohesive and enriched viewing experience.

In a statement to viewers, KTN highlighted its commitment to serving its audience better: “This bold move combines the best of both worlds—your favorite family entertainment and trusted, fact-based journalism—all under one roof.” The statement underscores KTN’s efforts to remain a heritage brand that continues to inspire, inform, and entertain millions across Kenya.

The merger marks a strategic shift for the broadcaster, aligning it with global media trends where content providers streamline operations to enhance accessibility and engagement. KTN emphasized its multi-platform approach, ensuring audiences can access content seamlessly on TV, laptops, and mobile devices. “Wherever you watch—on TV, laptop, or mobile—we promise a rich, captivating experience,” the statement assured.

The network also reiterated its dedication to fearless and fact-driven reporting: “With passionate and fearless journalists leading the way, KTN remains committed to putting facts first—because you come first.” This pledge reinforces its legacy as a trusted voice in Kenya’s media landscape while adapting to the evolving demands of its viewers.
