June Chebet Moi, daughter of the late former President Daniel Moi, will be laid to rest today, April 18, 2024. A funeral mass is scheduled at Kabarak University grounds, followed by a private burial ceremony at her Bahati farm in Nakuru County. June Moi, aged 60, passed away on April 11.

Former President Uhuru Kenyatta will lead a delegation of Azimio la Umoja principals, including Kalonzo Musyoka, Eugene Wamalwa, and Mwangi Wa Iria, among others, to pay their final respects to June.

Martha Karua, leader of the NARC-Kenya party, led a delegation that visited the Moi family on Tuesday to offer condolences. Last week, Azimio leaders also visited the Moi family to express their condolences.

June Moi’s brother, Gideon Moi, fondly described her as a cheerful and outgoing individual. She is remembered as a remarkable lady and patriot.
