Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu has on Monday announced the form-one placements for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) candidates at Lenana School Nairobi.

The CS stated that the placements were done according to the choices selected by the candidates.

“Some students were placed in schools of equivalent standing outside their counties. This includes those from counties with inadequate capacity,” Machogu stated.

Here are some simple steps to follow in order to know the school where the candidate has been placed for their secondary education:

1.Go to the Ministry of Education website. After getting to the website, search for Form 1 placement. This will direct you to the Form One selection page, where you can access the placement results.

2. You can also get information on Form One placement by going to the Kenya Education Management Information System (KEMIS) website, where you will search for the 2024 Form One placement option.

Additionally, candidates will download forms containing Form One joining instructions at http://kemis.education.go.ke/.

3.Schools can retrieve lists of placed students from the National Education Management Information System.

CS Machogu said that the websites have been tested and proven to be 100% effective.

Machogu noted that some students were placed outside their respective counties, including those from regions with insufficient capacity.

While addressing concerns about school fees, Machogu urged education directors to ensure that principals adhere to the fee limit set by the Education Ministry. He emphasized that the County Education Board lacks the authority to approve fees exceeding the ministry’s threshold.

Towards the end of last month, Machogu announced that the placement process would be completed before Christmas. Commencing on November 27, he assured the public of the process’s fairness.
