“In exercise of the powers conferred by section 25 (1) of the HIV and AIDS Prevention and Control Act, the Attorney-General appoint, the chairperson and members of the HIV and AIDS Tribunal,” the notice read in part.
Established under Section 25 of the HIV Prevention and Control Act of 2006, the HIV and AIDS Tribunal of Kenya is the only HIV-specific statutory body in the world with the mandate to adjudicate cases relating to violations of HIV-related human rights.
Ngorii left NTV in 2021 after a long tenure at the Nation Media Group-owned network. The journalist said in her statement that she quit for “personal reasons” and promised to announce her next step in her career.
The former journalist gained notoriety in the media largely as a result of her excellent Swahili anchoring on NTV Jioni.
