In a statement today, Chirchir said Mkalama has a rich experience in public service spanning 30 years and has held various senior positions in different capacities.

“She was first employed as the Secretary and Head of the Legal Department in the then Rural Electrification Authority, the predecessor to REREC, a position she held for 10 years and later appointed as General Manager of Corporate Services,” Chirchir said.

Additionally, she holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Strategic Management, a Master of Business Administration degree in human resource management from the University of Nairobi, and a Bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Nairobi.
