Bishop Allan Kiuna, founder of Jubilee Christian Church (JCC), passed away at the age of 57 while undergoing treatment at a Nairobi hospital.
His wife, Rev. Kathy Kiuna, bravely shared his battle with cancer, noting in 2019: “He was diagnosed with cancer last year, and the chemotherapy has taken a toll on him, causing hair loss and weight gain. The pain in his legs made it difficult for him to stand or walk for extended periods.”
Seeking treatment in the United States for a year, Bishop Kiuna returned in 2022 to share during a thanksgiving service: “For the year I was in the US, my treatment cost $3 million, and I didn’t spend a single coin out of my pocket because the God of heaven provided.”
President Ruto expressed condolences, describing Bishop Kiuna as “a dedicated and inspirational Christian leader.” Throughout his journey, Bishop Kiuna’s resilience and faith were evident, as he once said: “Don’t get bitter with the process. If you get bitter with the process, you shall abort your purpose. I am not bitter about the process because I am better. My best days are ahead of me.”
During a recent church service on Father’s Day, Rev. Kathy Kiuna asked their daughter to describe her father. She tearfully responded, “My father was the blueprint of what a real father and husband is. He showed me love, took interest in my life, and helped me grow in faith.” The words echoed Bishop Kiuna’s profound impact not only as a spiritual leader but also as a loving father and mentor.
Bishop Kiuna’s impact extended beyond his church, influencing communities through his ministry’s outreach and charitable initiatives. His dedication to spreading the teachings of Christ and his commitment to service will be remembered by those whose lives he touched.
