Kenya and Egypt have agreed to allow holders of official and diplomatic passports free Visa entry beginning on April 1.
According to Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua, efforts are being made to complete a visa-free policy for travelers with regular passports between the two nations by October 1, 2023, which will be effective immediately.
This agreement resulted from bilateral meetings held in Cairo between CS Mutua and Sameh Shoukry, Egypt’s minister of foreign affairs.
Mutua added that Kenya would purchase fertilizer from Egypt and help its KSh.15 billion tree effort by building dams and boreholes.
He continued by saying that Egypt had consented to grant scholarships to Kenyan students in a number of disciplines, including mechanized agriculture, water, marine engineering, and health.
