Twitter Founder Jack Dorsey In Nairobi After Investing Ksh245M In A Kenyan Crypto Company

Twitter Founder Jack Dorsey has visited Nairobi days after reports emerged that his company, Block Inc, had invested $2 million (Ksh245 million) into a Kenya start-up, Gridless which is a sustainable bitcoin mining company founded by Erik Hersman.

On Friday, December 9, 2022, Dorsey visited Crazy Grill in Parklands for a meal before he took a photo of the joint and shared it on his Twitter handle.

Later, he met with tech enthusiasts at iHub in Kilimani Nairobi.

“Thanks for the conversation @iHub!,” he tweeted.

At iHub, Dorsey gave a brief talk on how he was able to build successful tech products such as Twitter and Block Inc.

He is currently estimated to be worth $4.2 billion (Ksh500 billion).

Dorsey (born November 19, 1976) is an American Internet entrepreneur and programmer who is a co-founder and former CEO of Twitter, Inc., as well as a co-founder and the CEO and chairperson of Block, Inc., a financial payments company.
