The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has announced that there are only ten remaining courses available for applicants interested in studying at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) as the revision deadline approaches. KUCCPS provided a list of ten courses from which prospective students can choose.
“Note that any programme not listed has filled up and is not available for revision of choices,” the placement agency said.
KUCCPS opened its portal for the first revision of courses on March 19 to allow for students who did not make any application for courses to do so. Additionally, applicants who failed to secure any course are to apply afresh.
During the initial application period, which occurred from February to March this year, candidates who attained a grade above C+ in the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations were eligible to apply.
More to this, any Form 4 graduate with a KCSE mean grade from the years 2000 to 2023, who has not previously enrolled in a tertiary institution, could apply for a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) course.
Following the first revision stage, there will be a second revision period allowing those who were unsuccessful in securing courses during the initial application phase to reapply.
However, during each revision stage, the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) removes courses that have reached capacity from the available options for selection.
Therefore, in this initial revision phase, courses that have already reached capacity will not be presented as choices for applicants to select from.
