Kenya has been selected as the venue for the upcoming Elevate Africa Summit, set to be held on June 28 to 29, 2024, in Nairobi and Konza Technopolis in Machakos County. This event signifies a notable milestone in the advancement of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and drone technology across Africa.
The decision to host the Summit in Nairobi comes as a result of Kenya’s role as a frontrunner in the realm of UAS innovation. With its drone regulations, Kenya has created a fertile ground for drone technology, making it the ideal location for the event.
The Elevate Africa Summit highlights African innovation in drone technology and serves as a platform to showcase accomplishments within Kenya’s drone ecosystem. It also fosters collaboration and facilitates the exchange of knowledge among stakeholders across the continent.
Industry leaders, innovators and regulatory bodies are among those expected to attend the summit, which will seek to illustrate how leveraging the power of the global drone community can bring transformative changes, not only in Kenya but across Africa.
Participants will also have the chance to interact with leading experts in the drone sector and explore the future applications of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) in agriculture, healthcare, and surveillance.
The summit will bring together, among others, private sector enterprises, donors and development agencies, government and civil aviation authorities, academics, researchers, students, innovators in drone technology and investors.
