Government Chief Pathologist Johansen Oduor has been extended a two-day holiday trip by Hotelier Mohammed Hersi.

In a statement posted on his X account last Friday, Hersi announced a fully sponsored excursion for Oduor to a safari lodge in Tsavo, situated in Taita Taveta County. Hersi expressed the belief that Oduor deserves this break, particularly in recognition of his role in conducting the post-mortem on Rita Waeni’s body.

“This man is selfless. He is not in this for the money. Late Waeni’s case has really traumatised him, and he deserves a break with his better half. If you know him, he has a weekend at @SaltLickLodge Salt Lick Safari Lodge to relax and unwind,” he said.

In an altruistic gesture, the individual in question is driven by a selfless motive rather than financial gain. The recent traumatic case of the late Waeni deeply affected him, prompting the assertion that he deserves a respite with his significant other. Advocating for a weekend retreat at @SaltLickLodge Salt Lick Safari Lodge, the speaker highlights the need for the person’s relaxation and rejuvenation.

According to Hersi, the arrangement involves the individual being picked up from the Voi SGR station after arriving by train. He further made a divine wish, urging Almighty God to grant the pathologist the strength to persist in serving humanity.

The government pathologist, distinguished for his post-mortem examinations in numerous high-profile cases, expressed shock and dismay over the death of Waeni after conducting a post-mortem examination.

Recounting the details of the examination, the pathologist revealed that the victim’s body exhibited missing fingernails.

He speculated on the possibility that the perpetrator attempted to remove the fingernails to conceal evidence, emphasizing the importance of such details in forensic investigations, particularly for extracting DNA evidence. The motive behind the gruesome murder remains undetermined, leaving detectives perplexed.
