The Registrar of Companies has reversed the transfer of 1,800 A&L Hotel shares belonging to Lilian Ng’ang’a, which were transferred to Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua’s sister Ann Mbandi.
Dr Mutua transferred the shares from Lillian in 2021, following their “amicable” separation in August.
“Following on the complaint dated 11th November 2021, lodged by Lilian Ng’ang’a against Governor Alfred Mutua, regarding the fraudulent transfer of her 1800 shares, in Ndash Enterprise, Ltd (which owns A&L Hotel, in Machakos), and the theft and transfer of her motor vehicle KB 186G. This is to notify the public that after a detailed inquiry Into the transfer of the 1800 shares, the Registrar of Companies on 6/5/2022 found merit in the complaint by Ms. Ng’ang’a and has reversed the entry in company and the fraudulent transfer of the 1800 shares,” Lilian’s lawyer Philip Murgor said.
“The current position therefore, is reflected in the attached CR 12 dated 9/5/2022 in which Governor Alfred Mutua and Ms. Lilian Ng’ang’a hold 2000 shares each, effectively making them 50% shareholders each in Ndash Enterprises Ltd and by extension A&L Hotel in Machakos. Ms Ng’ang’a remains hopeful that the investigation by the DCI into the criminal aspects of the fraudulent transfer of her shares, and her motor vehicle can be concluded expeditiously, and forwarded to the DPP for appropriate action.”

The two, Dr Mutua and Lilian, went separate ways last year in what they termed as an amicable separation, but soon started washing dirty linen in public after the Machakos governor started demanding all that he had bought for Lilian, and taking some back forcefully.
“I requested Alfred Mutua for a mature and amicably separation…after all, we were not married. Mr Mutua takes away everything I have and everything I own. Indeed this has already started as he has demanded through his lawyers that I refund any money he has ever given to me or made available for me,” Lilian said.
Mutua has however remained mum over the allegations, after issuing the first statement that confirmed the separation.
