Messaging app WhatsApp on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 experienced downtime globally.

The downtime started shortly after 10.30 East African Time, according to reports by downtime detectors.

Million of users on the platform that is owned by Meta were unable to send messages to groups, with messages to individuals failing to be delivered.

“We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble sending messages, and we’re working to restore WhatsApp for everyone as quickly as possible,” a spokesperson for the platform’s parent company, Meta, told Sky.
