The government of Kitui County and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) will work together to finance and implement development projects worth Ksh1.1 billion all around the county.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed on Tuesday, December 6, by Kitui governor Julius Malombe and James Flock, Chief of Party for USAID’s Resilience Learning Activity (RLA), to begin the implementation of programs that would last for a year.
The two development partners will conduct multi-sectoral initiatives and programs under the terms of the agreement for shared development projects, with the county administration providing KSh742 million in addition to KSh368 million from USAID.
