Jin’s commitment came after President William Ruto implored the country’s legislature to relook into the laws governing trade between the two countries to make them more friendly.

The head of state, who is in the Asian country for a three-day state visit, is looking forward to strengthening economic ties between the two nations, with his main focus being job opportunities and value addition for Kenyan agricultural products.

“We must move from processing 5 percent of our tea to 50 percent in the next five years and in 10 years’ time we should be able to process every gram of tea grown in Kenya,” Said President Ruto.

“We have about 300 Kenyans in South Korea, the next time I come to South Korea I hope we will have 10,000 Kenyan youth working here.”
