Nairobi and Makueni have witnessed a series of tragic incidents, with investigations ongoing into the causes of death in several cases.

In Tassia, Embakasi, Nairobi, police are probing the death of 31-year-old Samson Abulo. His decomposed body was discovered in his home on Sunday, September 8, after his employer sent a rider to check on him due to his unexplained absence from work for a week.

The house was reportedly not locked from the inside. “It is suspected that Mr. Abulo had been dead for several days,” a police spokesperson said. The body has been transported to the mortuary for autopsy and further investigation.

In another disturbing development in Nairobi’s Muthurwa market, the body of a man known as Nungu, a member of the street community, was found on the roadside. Police have confirmed the body was moved to the mortuary, and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.

“The body was discovered on the roadside and has been taken for further examination,” noted a police report.

A similar case was reported in Muoroto area, Kamukunji, where the body of an unidentified man was found on the roadside. The cause of death remains unclear, and the body has also been taken to the mortuary for autopsy and identification. “The victim had been dead for some time before being discovered,” police stated.

In Mukuyuni, Makueni County, a tragic suicide has been reported. Patrick Kiio Mwendo, a 19-year-old, was found dead after hanging himself with a leso at his father’s homestead in Ukonze village. The incident has shocked the local community.

“This is a deeply distressing situation, and we are extending our condolences to the family,” said a local official. The body has been moved to the mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
