President William Ruto is scheduled to leave the country on Thursday to participate in two summits in Kampala, Uganda.
In a statement released by State House spokesperson Hussein Mohamed, the President will engage in a meeting of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) on regional cooperation and development, aligning with Kenya’s dedication to fostering stability and advancement in the Eastern African region.
Subsequently, on Friday, President Ruto is slated to partake in the 19th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement.
“At the summit, whose theme is ‘Deepening Cooperation for Shared Global Affluence’, President Ruto will contribute to discussions on key priorities such as reform of the United Nations, peace and security, Sustainable Development Goals, climate change and the reform of the international financial system,” Mohammed said.
The President is scheduled to engage in bilateral meetings with several Heads of State and leaders, with the primary objective of enhancing diplomatic relations and emphasizing Kenya’s significance in both regional and global affairs.
