Police Commission announces sale of vehicles for as low as KES 390,000

The National Police Service Commission (NPSC) has released a tender notice for the disposal of assets, encompassing outdated motor vehicles, furniture, old tires, and equipment. This announcement, dated January 30, reflects the commission’s commitment to optimizing its resources through a competitive tendering process.

The advert stated, “NPSC is in the process of disposing unserviceable and obsolete items. In this regard, the Commission invites interested buyers to submit their bids.”

The Commission is inviting bids for a L/Rover DISC4 GKB 687C at a price of KES.1.8 million, requiring a deposit of KES180,000. Additionally, a L/Rover DISC4 GKB 688C is available for purchase at KES1,044,500, with a required deposit of KES104,450.

Another tender includes a SuzukiG/Vitara GKB 690C and a Renault Fluence GKB 773C. The Suzuki is priced at KES 480,000 with a deposit of KES 48,000, while the Renault is offered at KES 390,000 with a deposit of KES 39,000.

The Commission is also selling assorted high back executive chairs (four units), a high back chair, eight assorted medium back chairs, and four executive visitors chairs, each with a reserve price of KES 500.

Interested parties can view and download the tender document for free from the NPSC website (www.npsc.go.ke) or the public procurement information portal (www.tenders.go.ke).

Bids are invited for five assorted water dispensers, two shredders, a floor-standing fan, microwave, tea urn, and a 900*100mm solid panel floor, each priced at KES 200.

The Commission emphasized, “Late tenders will be rejected. The closing date is 13/02/2024 at 10:00 am, and tenderers are welcome to attend the opening, scheduled at Sky Park Plaza 4th-floor boardroom.”

Interested bidders can seek additional information between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM during office hours at the NPSC offices located at Sky Park Plaza in Westlands, Nairobi. Tenders can be submitted through the NPSC website or delivered in person to the NPSC offices, with a clear marking of the envelope indicating the tender number.
