Liquid Intelligent Technologies, Microsoft Partner To Boost Internet Access By 2025

Liquid Intelligent Technologies has announced a collaboration with Microsoft Corp. to provide high-speed internet connectivity to 20 million individuals in Africa by the end of 2025.

The cooperation will concentrate on countries including but not limited to, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tanzania, and Zambia.

The objective of this collaborative initiative is to increase access to a high-speed connection, even in the most remote regions of South Africa, Kenya, and Nigeria.

This huge effort attempts to bridge the digital divide and deliver vital resources to individuals who have been left behind by the rapid pace of technological innovation.

“Our goal here is to use digital technology and investment as a catalyst to create more economic opportunity for the population,” said Microsoft’s President Brad Smith

Smith added that Microsoft would collaborate with other organizations to increase food production in Africa through a variety of initiatives, such as using artificial intelligence to monitor crops. The initiative aims to have assisted 40 million African farmers and agribusiness owners by 2030.

In addition, Microsoft is working with Synapse, the International Organization of Employers, and four Least Developed Countries (LDCs) to train 20,000 young people, women, and business owners in digital, business, and employability skills.
