The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service has extended the placement application deadline. In a statement released by CEO Mercy Wahome said the decision was made to ascertain that all targeted students have applied.

“Arising from the ongoing process, I wish to assure those who have not yet submitted their applications, and Kenyans in general, that the application deadline, which was set for February 26, 2024, has been extended until KUCCPS ascertains that all targeted students have applied,” the statement reads in part.

KUCCPS opened its portal for the application for placement of students to universities and colleges on February 7. This is the second time the application deadline has been extended to ensure no candidate misses out. The first time was on February 16, which announced the deadline as Monday, which has been extended.

She mentioned that the payment validation process for the placement service now takes longer due to the transition of government services to the eCitizen platform. Consequently, she advised applicants to refrain from making duplicate payments to avoid complications.
