Konza City will host the International Association of Science Park (IASP) in 2024, Following a successful bid.
On their social media channels, IASP announced that the members had chosen Kenya as the conference’s host country, with Konza Technopolis serving as the official venue. Konza (Konza Technopolis) is a significant flagship project of Kenya’s Vision 2030 economic development programme.
Konza will be a city of the world’s class once finished, supported by a booming ICT industry, first-rate, dependable infrastructure, and business-friendly political structures. The news that Kenya would host the conference in 2024 has been favourably received by several ICT industry stakeholders in Kenya since it will present more opportunities for ICT to develop in Kenya and Africa as a whole.

John Tanui, the CEO of Konza Technopolis, also posted on social media to commemorate this wonderful occasion.
“We are elated by the news of winning the bid to host the 2024 World Conference of the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP). We thank the members for the confidence in Kenya,” Tanui wrote.
IASP members most recently attended a high-level symposium on science parks as catalysts for innovation, which was organised by APEC. Participants came from throughout the Asia Pacific region.
On September 13–14, 2022, in Lima, Peru, and online, the APEC Conference on Science and Technology Parks: Potential Catalysts in Promoting Enabling Environments for Innovation took place. It included three classes, followed by interactive sessions where participants could share their experiences and a virtual exhibit booth where six success stories were displayed.
