“Our focus will be on strengthening our county, constituency, and ward offices and recruiting more members as we mould and nurture the next generation of Jubilee Leaders,” read the statement in part.

The multi-story building that houses the Jubilee Party’s headquarters had been put up for auction, according to a notice dated August 29, 2022, by Garam Investments Auctioneers.

The land parcel where the building sits, reference number 209/1530-Emani Business Center, is registered under Farmers Industry Limited and Ms. Florence Wairimu Mbugua.

The building, Emani Business Center, was put up for auction due to Ksh.435 million debt owed to Stanbic Bank. According to those who are familiar with the loan, Stanbic Bank Kenya, a subsidiary of Standard Bank South Africa, was in an attempt to recover millions of shillings for a debt that became overdue in 2021.

Garam Investments put the structure up for auction on September 11, 2022, in a bid to recover the loan. Before being permitted to place a bid, bidders were required to present a deposit of Ksh5 million in cash or a banker’s check.
