Global communications company Huawei in conjunction with Nation Media Group, have announced a program to connect jobless Kenyans to prospective employers.

Huawei says the move is intended to address the joblessness crisis in the country by helping young graduates and other Kenyans who lost jobs due to COVID-19 secure employment.

“Many individuals across the country lost their jobs during this period and some businesses shut down as well. As a result, the rate of unemployment in the country continued to rise. As COVID-19 cases reduced over time, the country’s economy began to recover, businesses that shut down reopened and job opportunities became more available.
