Your Front Row Seat to the Great Wildebeest Migration

It starts quietly. A cloud of dust. A low grumble of hooves in the distance. Then, like a river breaking its banks, they come by the thousands.

Every year around this time, something incredible begins to stir across the Serengeti. Over a million wildebeest, zebras, and antelope begin their long, dangerous journey north into Kenya’s Maasai Mara. It’s a journey driven by instinct, survival, and the rhythm of nature itself and it’s one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on Earth.

And right now, it’s about to begin.

As May gives way to June, the animals gather. The herds grow. The grass thins. And before long, the crossings will begin first the Mara River, swollen from the rains, teeming with crocodiles. Then the vast open plains of the Mara, where lion prides wait in silence and cheetahs crouch in the shadows. It’s raw. It’s real. It’s absolutely breathtaking.

This year, 2025, is set to be one of the most exciting seasons yet. Weather conditions have been favourable, and the migration is expected to follow its classic route bringing with it those dramatic moments that define an African safari. River crossings. Predator chases. Sunrise scenes so beautiful they feel surreal.
