The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have announced that four suspects accused of using forged credentials to secure public service positions at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital were arraigned at Eldoret law courts on Monday and freed on bail set at KES 100,000 in cash or a bond of KES 300,000.
Bethwel Kipkoech, Celestine Cherop Chepsoi, Eddah Cheptanui Boit, and Jackson Kipkosgei faced charges including forgery of academic certificates, production of false documents, presentation of false documents, and fraudulent acquisition of public property.
The government launched a crackdown to nab civil servants who had obtained jobs in government offices using forged documents.
