Former State House Comptroller and Ambassador of Kenya to the Netherlands, Lawrence Lenayapa, passed away on Thursday, February 28, at the age of 59.
Ambassador Ukur Yatani announced the news, expressing condolences to Lenayapa’s family and praying for solace and peace for them.
Lenayapa began his diplomatic service in the Netherlands in 2018 and subsequently served as the State House Comptroller for the Kenyan Presidency.
Prior to these roles, he held the position of Principal Secretary at the Ministry of Environment and Mineral Resources.
Lenayapa’s tenure as comptroller began in 2013 and lasted until 2018 when he was appointed by former President Uhuru Kenyatta. The cause of his death remains undisclosed at this time.
