The Chief of Defense Forces, General Francis Ogolla, and Inspector General of Police, Mr. Japheth Koome, toured the North Rift Region as Operation Maliza Uhalifu (OMU) continues to pacify the region. The visit came after bandits raided villages and killed six people in attacks.

During their visit, they received an update on the security situation and advancements made since the multi-agency operation began in the six unstable North Rift counties.

In addition to praising the “OMU” multi-agency team for their committed work, the Chief of Defense Forces emphasized the value of collaboration between local communities and security services. He remarked that a number of initiatives and training sessions in the North Rift area had contributed to the main objective of bringing about stability and peace.

“We are totally committed to this operation, and as long as we are utilizing the Multi Agency Framework, our goal is the same.” Let’s keep interacting with the local government and the community at large,” he added.
