Seasoned TV journalist and anchor, Terryanne Chebet, announced her return to the screens after a two-year hiatus.
Chebet confirmed her return to CNBC Africa as a Senior Correspondent on Wednesday, January 11, 2023. She hinted that she will be concentrating on business news for both the African continent and Kenya.
“Good morning I’m excited about going back to where it all began. I’ve joined Africa’s Leading Business News Channel cnbcafrica as a Senior Correspondent as well as leading Business Development in Kenya.” Terryanne wrote on Twitter.
Her return to CNBC marks the start of her second term with the network after she left in 2010. Chebet started working for the company in 2007 as a reporter and producer.
She has had a stellar career spanning two decades in the media sector. She began her career at KBC as an anchor before progressing to become a producer and later a director.
She started working for Citizen TV in 2010 as a business reporter and associate editor. After that, the journalist transitioned to hosting prime-time news alongside Michael Njenga, who is currently at Inooro TV.

Before taking on the role of director at Scarlet Digital in 2018, she served as chief executive of Fanaka TV. In 2019, the anchor made a comeback to television at Metropol TV, where she also served as general manager.
She received accolades from Meta for expanding her skincare business, Keyara Botanics, which makes skin care products, through social media platforms.
The former Citizen TV journalist was recognized alongside five other business people that have used Meta platforms as part of the Good Ideas Deserve To Be Found campaign, which was launched on Friday, December 2, 2022.

Chebet’s products were also recognized because the raw materials utilized in their production came from continent-wide nations. The former news anchor also showed trust in social media’s ability to grow businesses around the world.
