President William Ruto has delegated his deputy, Rigathi Gachagua, new tasks in the recent government reorganization. Ruto designated Gachagua to be in charge of the nation’s coffee sector improvements in Executive Order No. 1 of 2023.

The DP will now monitor the implementation of changes in the coffee sub-sector, a responsibility that previously belonged to the President’s office.

On Sunday, January 8, 2023, he formally registered as a farmer in the latest registration drive launched by President Ruto’s government.

“In line with H.E. President William Ruto’s directive for the FSP Household Farmer Registration, today at my Farm in Wamunyoro Village, Mathira West Subcounty, I was registered as an individual farmer by Assistant Chief David Mwangi of Sagana Sub-Location.” he wrote on Twitter.
