President William Ruto will have a media roundtable conversation with local and international journalists this evening.
The announcement was made public on Tuesday, January 3, 2022, by Hussein Mohammed, the State House spokesperson, on his official Twitter account.
“President William Ruto will hold a media roundtable interview live on Wednesday evening with local and international media.” he wrote
The President will answer questions from media outlets starting from 7:00 pm through 9:00 pm in an interview that will also be carried by international media outlets, as was stated by Dominic Mugonyi, the head of the Presidential Communication Service.

This will be the first interview of its sort, and it will be broadcast live across all TV and radio stations just 100 days after President Ruto was sworn in as the country’s head of state.
Kenyans have flocked to social media to highlight various topics that they anticipate the president to address during his first televised press conference including issues on taxation, the high rate of unemployment, the cost of electricity, healthcare, and matters concerning education.

Ruto will also host a three-day Cabinet retreat in Sagana beginning Thursday, January 5, 2022.
According to reports, the retreat will be attended by advisors and Principal Secretaries who make up the executive arm of government.
The conference will be presided over by Ruto, and the agenda will include the adoption of the administration’s economic reform plan based on goals such as food security and employment development.
