Huawei has launched the ICT Competition 2024, inviting Kenyan college students to register, learn, and compete in various ICT-related challenges. This initiative aims to equip participants with advanced technical skills through specialized training in areas such as networking, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence (AI).

The competition offers students two options: the Practice Track, which covers Network, Cloud, and Computing, and the AI Innovation Track. Both tracks provide an immersive learning experience, beginning with expert-led training and culminating in competitive rounds where students showcase their skills.

Students who perform well in the competition will advance to the national finals. From there, top finalists will be given the chance to travel to China for a technical study tour, where they will engage in hands-on training and network with ICT professionals from around the world. In addition to the training, these students will represent Kenya in a global competition against peers from over 90 countries.

Participants who excel in the competition will have the opportunity to win cash prizes of up to KES 274,261, alongside gaining global exposure and career opportunities in the rapidly evolving ICT sector. Huawei emphasizes that this competition is not just about testing knowledge but also about preparing students for future success by providing a platform to network with global professionals.
