The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened of its application portal for the initial revision of applicants’ preferences for placement into universities, TVET institutions, Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs), and the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC).

“The KUCCPS application portal is open for the First Revision of applicants’ choices for placement to Universities, TVET Institutions, Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs) and the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC),” the college placement provider said.

This portal became available on Monday and will continue to be accessible until April 4th.

During this revision phase, applicants have the opportunity to modify their preferences for tertiary institutions. It specifically caters to individuals who have not yet secured their choices, including 2023 KCSE examination candidates who attained a grade of C+ and above, as well as Form Four graduates from 2000 to 2023.

Additionally, KUCCPS has instructed those who submitted applications during the February/March 2024 period to verify the status of their applications by accessing the placement board’s portal.

The portal was first opened on February 8 to allow candidates to select their universities and colleges of choice.

Students who finished their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams in 2023 and those who completed Form Four between 2000 and 2022 were encouraged to submit applications. However, many students encountered difficulties during the application process, leading to two extensions of the application deadline.

On March 1, KUCCPS declared that the technical issues related to the eCitizen payment method and website had been resolved.
