Parents and students have been left in despair after being unable to access the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination results through the Kenya National Examinations (KNEC) portal.

While announcing the results at Moi Girls High School in Eldoret, Machogu said that the ministry of education is working with the engineers to ensure students can access their results on time.

“We have engaged engineers to make sure the system works perfectly, unlike the other time we witnessed issues with the SMS code,” Machogu stated.

He added that students could access their results directly through the KNEC student portal at https://www.knec.ac.ke or via the direct link https://results.knec.ac.ke/, deviating from the norm in previous years where students could receive their results through SMS.

Hours after CS Machogu’s announcement, no school had received their exam results as the website crashed.
