Orange Middle East & Africa has joined forces with Spotify to extend complimentary access to millions of mobile users in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Madagascar, Mali, and soon Guinea, through the renowned music streaming platform. The partnership is geared towards enhancing the music experience for Orange mobile customers, solidifying Orange’s role as a comprehensive entertainment service provider across its operations in 18 countries in Africa and the Middle East.

As part of Orange’s alliance with Spotify, users receive data bonuses to overcome the challenges of data costs that often impede access to music streaming services. This added benefit aims to make music streaming more accessible, reinforcing Orange’s commitment to delivering a comprehensive entertainment experience.

With a global community surpassing 551.0 million monthly active listeners, including 220.0 million subscribers, Spotify offers an extensive music catalogue of over 82.0 million tracks from African and international artists. Orange customers can now enjoy a personalized musical experience, creating playlists and exploring the diverse range of music available on the platform.

Jocelyne Muhutu-Remy, Managing Director for Spotify in Sub-Saharan Africa, acknowledged the persistent challenge of data costs for music enthusiasts and expressed enthusiasm about the Orange partnership. Spotify aims to empower users in countries like the Democratic Republic of Congo, Guinea, Madagascar, and Mali to enjoy the extensive music library without concerns about data consumption.
