The Nairobi Safari Club has entered into a management partnership agreement with the global hotel industry leader, Swiss-Belhotel International.

The renowned all-suite hotel, originally conceived as a testament to the late Kenyan Businessman and Member of Parliament Stanley Munga Githunguri’s vision, will undergo a rebranding and become known as the Nairobi Safari Club by Swiss-Belhotel.

Situated within Nairobi’s bustling Central Business District, the impressive 16-story Lilian Towers hotel, owned by the local hospitality investment firm Mukawa (Hotels) Holdings Ltd, proudly stands as Nairobi’s exclusive all-suite lodging facility.

It comprises 146 rooms, ranging from studios to presidential suites. Clare Njeri Githunguri and Lilian Joy Nyagaki Githunguri, directors of Mukawa (Hotels) Holdings Ltd, expressed their enthusiasm about the partnership and unveiled plans for a comprehensive renovation aimed at raising the hotel’s standards to a world-class level.

This collaboration aligns with Swiss-Belhotel International’s broader strategy to expand its presence in Africa, combining Swiss hospitality expertise with a commitment to service excellence with an Asian influence.

The Nairobi Safari Club by Swiss-Belhotel not only offers opulent accommodations but also an array of conference facilities, including a grand ballroom capable of hosting up to 300 guests.

Furthermore, the hotel features an outdoor pool, a spa offering sauna and massage therapy, a modern fitness center, and round-the-clock room service. Guests will benefit from complimentary Wi-Fi access throughout the hotel and secure private car parking facilities.

The timing of this partnership is particularly auspicious, as Nairobi recently earned the title of the best city destination globally in Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel 2024.

Gavin M. Faull, Chairman and President of Swiss-Belhotel International, expressed his confidence in the Kenyan market and underscored the increasing demand for their renowned brands among African hotel proprietors.

“This marks a significant milestone for us. The iconic status of the Nairobi Safari Club and Swiss-Belhotel International’s operational excellence are poised to create a truly distinctive hospitality experience in the heart of Nairobi,” he added.

The combination of the Nairobi Safari Club’s iconic status and Swiss-Belhotel International’s operational excellence promises to deliver a unique hospitality experience right in the heart of Nairobi.
