Renowned radio presenter Mwalimu Rachel disclosed her departure from the popular radio station NRG on Tuesday, March 26, through a statement across her social media platforms.
She expressed gratitude for her six-year journey at NRG, declaring her resignation and hinting at an imminent announcement regarding her next professional endeavor.
“I have resigned from NRG radio. It has been an incredible journey of six years, and I’m grateful for the time there,” she conveyed, eagerly anticipating her forthcoming career trajectory. “I look forward to announcing my new place of work and embarking on this exciting journey.”
In response to Mwalimu’s decision, Homeboys Radio, under Radio Africa ownership, extended congratulations and a warm welcome to her within their media house.
“Celebrated media personality Mwalimu Rachel joins Radio Africa Group! Welcome home,” their post on the X platform exclaimed, accompanied by visuals of her contract signing.
While the specific station within the Radio Africa company remains undisclosed, potential options include Kiss FM, Classic 100, East FM, and the Star Newspaper. Martin Khafafa, the Group’s Chief Operating Officer, greeted Mwalimu Rachel, affirming collaboration to elevate the company’s endeavors.
Mwalimu Rachel’s journey in the entertainment industry spans 11 years, commencing as an intern at Homeboyz radio. Subsequently, she assumed roles at Ghetto Radio, hosting late-night shows, and ventured into event hosting and talent management for artists.
