Kenyan firm Intellimedia Networks Africa has entered a deal with Matic Enterprises to provide broadband connectivity infrastructure in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
Speaking in Nairobi during the signing agreement, IntelliMedia Networks Africa spokesperson Alex Chesosi said the partnership forms part of the strategy by the Kenyan IT firm to interconnect the African market through new technologies.

He went on to add that their entry into the DRC would substantially reduce the cost of deployment time associated with fibre optics. “Kenya has emerged as a beacon of innovation and actionable business solutions, rapidly emerging as a hub that sets the pace for the entire continent. It’s this expertise that we will be tapping to empower millions of Congolese citizens by offering enhanced connectivity services,” said Chesosi.
IntelliMedia Networks Africa is projecting at least a turnover of Ksh 450 million ($3M) within the next five years following their entry into the growing DRC market.
Intellimedia Networks Africa CEO Jane Nawezi, cited both existing and emerging business opportunities as the driving force behind their ambitious financial forecast.
Alpha Eragy, Matic Enterprises chief executive highlighted their focus on unlocking digital opportunities in the DRC, with a particular interest in serving public and corporate clients.

He underlined that the partnership between the two companies was poised to revolutionize the technological landscape in the DRC, emphasizing their dedication to delivering innovative, sustainable, and impactful solutions that align with the aspirations of the Congolese populace.
The firm whose headquarters are in USA, had in August 2023 announced plans to scale up its operations in the region after officially venturing into the Kenyan market as it eyes the wider African market.
