National Police Leadership Academy

President William Ruto has officially opened the National Police  Leadership Academy in Ngong, Kajiado County. The President also witnessed the handing over of the Academy by the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) to the National Police Service (NPS).

The Academy will provide the NPS with modern facilities for the training of its senior leadership.

“We are proud that the project brought together Kenyan expertise and material was sourced locally. You will be pleased to know that the local content of the project was 85 percent. For instance, 25 per cent of the project cost was labour, all local, and local materials constituted 80 percent of material cost. Additionally, of the local materials, about 60 percent was sourced from Kajiado County. And saving the best for last, the professionals representing the contractors and consultants on the site were mostly under 35 years of age,” CBK Governor Dr Patrick Njoroge said.

CBK supported the development of this project through a Memorandum of Understanding with the NPS.
