East African Safari Mini Classic Rally To Kick Off Next Month In Nakuru

This year’s East African Safari Mini Classic Rally is set to kick off early next month in Nakuru County from December 8 to 11, 2022. East African Safari Classic Board Chairman Joey Ghose, while briefing the media said it was all systems go promising drivers a tough rally that only experienced and strong drivers will succeed.

Ghose said the rally which has attracted over 30 local and international drivers will be battling it out in what promises to be the toughest yet most memorable and enjoyable rally in a decade. He said all competitors are already gearing up and testing their cars as part of the preparation process.

“During the previous event we had some issues with the route opening car so, we’ve gone out and bought a full Raid prepared car which will open the route driven by none other than seasoned rally driver Steve Anthony”, he explained.

The EASCR board chair dismissed claims that the classic rally has been discontinued stating that the already plans are at an advanced stage and route is ready. He confirmed that already over 40 entries of foreign drivers has been received for the main classic rally which is set for December next year.

Ghose said already all stakeholders have been brought on board along the route and urged rally enthusiasts to sign up and compete against the likes of Minti Motorsports lead drivers Raaji Bharji and rally legend Ian Duncan who are already set to test their cars during the forthcoming Voi rally.

This year’s Mini Classic Rally is expected to traverse from Nakuru, Eldoret and end up in Kitale covering a distance of over 1000kms.
